FAQ
Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our online singing lessons with Vasile and Egle Chisiu. Learn what to expect during your first meeting, what equipment you need, how often to take lessons, and more. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced singer, this section will help you get started with confidence and clarity.
Yes! We work with complete beginners. The only things you need are a love for music and a musical ear. You don’t need to know how to read sheet music or play an instrument — we’ll guide you step by step.
Yes! We regularly work with professional and advanced singers who wish to continue their development, maintain vocal health, or solve specific technical issues.
We can help you with:
Breathing control and efficient use of support
Mastering high notes with freedom and balance
Building vocal resilience and power for demanding repertoire
Improving stage presence and artistic expression
Refining riffs, runs, and coloraturas for stylistic accuracy
Developing voice agility and flexibility
Smoothing transitions between vocal registers for an even, connected sound
Each lesson is personalized to your repertoire, goals, and voice type — helping you sing with confidence, ease, and endurance.
You’ll need a laptop with a microphone and webcam. An external microphone is recommended — it doesn’t have to be expensive; a mid-range one works perfectly.
If you don’t have a laptop, you can use a smartphone or tablet, but some Microsoft Teams functions may be limited, which can make it harder for us to hear you sing with a playback or karaoke.
We prefer you to sing without a headset so that we can hear your natural voice. However, if you don’t have speakers, using headphones is fine.
Yes, our first 30-minute meeting is free — it’s a chance to get to know each other, warm up, and evaluate your voice.
During your first session, we’ll:
Get to know each other
Do a short vocal warm-up
Check your vocal range
Discuss your goals and vocal challenges
You’ll also get a first introduction to breathing and vocal support techniques.
We welcome students of all ages! However, we do not work with children under 7 years old, as it can be difficult for them to stay focused and motivated for a full 50-minute online lesson.
There is no upper age limit — as long as you can sit or stand comfortably and have no special breathing issues, you can absolutely enjoy and benefit from singing lessons.
We’ve found that 50 minutes is the ideal duration for a productive lesson — enough time to warm up, develop vocal technique, and work on repertoire without tiring your voice. Sometimes we extend the lesson slightly (up to 55 minutes), depending on your progress and needs.
In exceptional cases — for example, with younger students or singers with a very delicate or untrained voice that cannot yet handle a full session — we can discuss a shorter 25-minute lesson format, which should ideally be taken twice a week for steady progress.
For optimal results, we recommend:
1–2 lessons per week for consistent progress
2–3 lessons per week if you’re preparing for exams, auditions, or performances Some students take one lesson every two weeks if they already practice independently between sessions.
We use Microsoft Teams, which we’ve found to be the best tool for online singing lessons. It allows easy sharing of videos, images, and scores, and offers excellent sound quality for teaching and feedback.
Please plan to take your lessons in a quiet, private room where you can sing freely without background noise or interruptions.
Taking lessons in a car, outdoors, or in a noisy space makes it difficult for your instructor to hear your voice accurately and provide proper feedback.
A calm, focused environment ensures better results and faster progress.
